Something that I’ve noticed about myself, especially lately as a single mom in a world that increasingly glamorizes women as self sufficient, is how much of my life is lived through my masculine energy—my wild feminine kept hidden inside. As beings we are made of a balance of masculine and feminine energy, no matter our gender. But between being the fierce, protective “momma bear” for my kids (which despite it’s name is very masculine in nature), and providing physically and financially as well as emotionally for them, and for myself, managing my home, and my business, and attempting to construct some sort of social life… it seems to leave little room to be in my healthy feminine of passion, sensuality, and creativity. You??
What might it feel like to flow effortlessly between the two energetics of doing and being? For all gender types to take the healthy masculine confidence in who I am, and say: If I’m not needed just to provide, protect, and procreate, what does it feel like to be in my aliveness, in play, in my ability to receive? To move blissfully between the space of “mission” and “inspired action”?
With all the solar activity sending us energy, we’re feeling a pull to step into our “homo luminous” body, or the merging of our Light body into our physical body, and become One with ourselves, our inner masculine + feminine.
This autumn equinox, right on the tail of a powerful full moon + lunar eclipse, we’ll sit at the balancing edge of Light and Dark, preparing to move into the darker part of the year here in the northern hemisphere. If you’re ready for a powerful shift of energy within yourself, come join us for a blending of cultural healing practices with a Fire Ritual I’m calling Wild Luminous. This will include some guided meditation to help you get clear on what is blocking you from living in a healthy balance of masculine and feminine, some somatic exercises to shift out of the spinning mind and into the body, and some music and movement around the bonfire to alchemize our desire to burn out our old patterns of thinking, and invite in our “homo luminous” Self.
All gender types welcome. Come by yourself or come with friends or your partner(s). In case of stormy weather, we’ll move this event indoors around a burn bowl. Let’s glow!
